10:30 – 12:30 | Opening Circle & Networking, Intern Enrichment Program Idea Jam

Along with some facilitated networking courtesy of our friends at the Young Agrarians, we will be having an idea jam to shape this year’s pilot Intern Enrichment Program. The Intern Enrichment Program came out of a need identified in our consultation with urban farmers for additional opportunities for urban farm interns on the various operations throughout Metro Vancouver to visit and learn from other urban farms. The pilot program is being rolled out this year and we are looking for ideas, program hosts, and an approach to the program. 

12:30 – 2 | Lunch

We will be serving up some vegetarian barbecue for lunch! We will also be determining the tool expo ‘open space’ schedule for the afternoon. We have several tools that will be demonstrated during the expo as well as the opportunity for you to lead a tool-related conversation that interests you.

2 – 4 | Tool Expo

Learn about and see tools in action and get to try some out for yourself; participate in a tool-related open space conversation; hang out, drink coffee, explore the farm.

4-5 | Clean Up

Any help with cleaning up and leaving the farm as glorious as we found it would be much appreciated!
