Join us for a tour of Farmers on 57th and get the lowdown on using cover crops in your farming or gardening practice. We’ll explore the Farmers on 57th market garden, learn about the farm’s unique role as a therapeutic and educational community space, and discuss how cover crops can improve soil fertility, reduce soil erosion, manage weeds, and more! About Farmers on 57th:
Farmers on 57th is a therapeutic, educational, and productive urban farm in the Marpole-Oakridge neighbourhood of Vancouver. Located on the on the grounds of George Pearson Centre (GPC), a Vancouver Coastal Health facility, the farm plays host to a market garden with a Community Supported Agriculture program, as well as a therapeutic garden for GPC residents.
